Senior Bowl Executive Director Shares Thoughts on Six of the Titans Draft Picks

NASHVILLE – The Titans picked seven players in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Of the seven, six players took part in Senior Bowl activities in Mobile, Alabama, earlier this offseason.

"I think when you go down to Mobile, that's when you're showcasing what you can do," Titans Assistant General Manager Anthony Robinson said. "You take these guys who have been at their university for the last four or five years and now you put them in the environment of the Senior Bowl and you get them new coaches, around different players, different schemes, that's what you want to see. A lot of these guys rise to the occasion. They show and they compete.

"It's a good opportunity for them to showcase what they have and for us to go down there and see him."

Over the weekend, Reese's Senior Bowl Executive Director Jim Nagy, a long-time NFL scout, posted on social media his thoughts on the six new Titans who took part in practices leading up to the draft.

Here's what Nagy said about each player in a social media post:

NT T'Vondre Sweat (Round 2, Pick 38)- Mammoth & immovable space-eater with raw power to collapse pocket on sub downs. (Sweat) next to Jeffrey Simmons is a long a$$ day for interior OL. Big lovable personality will be fan favorite if he comes close to his ceiling.

ILB Cedric Gray (Round 4, Pick 106)- Athletic space & cover 'backer should start inside with Kenneth Murray. Great zone cover instincts. Should never leave field.

CB Jarvis Brownlee (Round 5, Pick 146)- Sticky man-cover guy. Immediate No. 4 CB can play both I/O and has starting nickel talent. Senior Bowl standout could be a steal. In same "baller" mold as Roger McCreary.

WR Jha'Quan Jackson (Round 6, Pick 182)- Undersized yet electric playmaker should be No. 4 as rookie behind Hopkins, Ridley, & Burks. Immediate upgrade over current depth in slot. RAC cutup from Tulane was fun tape. Tyjae Spears' college roomie adds value as starting PR.

ILB James Williams (Round 7, Pick 242)- Young early-out junior making switch from college SS to LB will mainly be core ST'er as rook. Repped as off-ball 'backer in Mobile and made some downhill flash plays. Has length & AA to matchup with TEs. Smart developmental upside pick by GM Ran Carthon.

OLB Jaylen Harrell (Round 7, Pick 252)- Steady do-it-all edge player should secure backup OLB spot. Got noticeably better each year at Michigan. Staff favorite in Ann Arbor has high-end intangibles to stick on 53-man roster.
